Seats
The majority of triple buggies are initially single pushchairs, but some can be converted to take an additional seat or carrycot using adapters (these are usually more common in tandem buggies). There are also models let you include a ride-onboard for older children who wish to walk but require a little help.
Check out the Joie Evalite Duo for a lightweight option perfect for urban streets. It is easy to maneuver, and it has an enormous basket that has plenty of storage. It can accommodate twins from birth and will accept two car seats or a carrycot and seat. The seats have to face toward the forward direction and there isn't space to store an item under the seat. You will need a sidepack.
Mountain Buggy Duet will be a good option for you If you like off-road driving. It's a side-by-side with the slimmest footprint of any double buggy available on the market. It's much easier to get through narrow doors as well as on public transport. It is also able to climb up and over kerbs. It also has a handbrake that is attached to the handlebar that can be adjusted for more security and safety.
The UPPAbaby vista 2 double is another lightweight option that is suitable for twins or a toddler and a baby. The seats have multi-position reclining and UPF 50+ sunshades while the canopy can be adjusted to keep the sun out of your child's eyes. The Vista 2 can even be transformed into a triple using the addition of UPPAbaby's 'PiggyBack' board for mobile older kids.
The iCandy Orange double buggies are among the most well-known on the market. This is due to their superb comfort. It's a true all-terrain pushchair with a soft suspension that makes light work of bumpy surfaces. It can accommodate up to 30 seating configurations and comes with a built-in ride-on board for older children who prefer walking, and a 'cinema seating' mode which raises the back seat for better visibility.
Alternatively, the phil&teds dot is a fantastic single buggy from the beginning that can then easily adapt to take 2 (or 3!) in 3 wheel jogger stroller of configurations. This is especially helpful when you have a child in a car seat, since the frame can be equipped with a wedgie to allow for optimal lie-flat positioning, or car seat adapters to a wider range of brands.
Suspension
The quality of the suspension in a triple buggy is vital to how it will be easy for you and your child to push. It is crucial to have a smooth ride, as babies can feel every bump in the road. This is particularly relevant if you drive on rough terrain like grass or roads that aren't paved. Some models also come with front wheels that lock to assist with maneuvering and getting over obstacles like curbs.
Some models have tyres with air filled that are great for all-terrain riding, but they are susceptible to punctures. Make sure you have an extra set of tyres inside the trunk. Certain models come with gel-filled or foam-filled tyres that are designed to cushion bumps. They are less likely to puncture, but they may be uncomfortable for your child if they decide to jog.

MFM reviewer Kath took the Urban Glide 2 through its tests with her infant and three years old, and found that it was able to handle difficult terrains: "it navigated effortlessly over grass and bumpy pavements cobbles, dirt tracks and cobbles easily and was able to maneuver around corners and climb up and down kerbs. Folding
A three-wheel double buggy could be folded neatly for storage. There are models that fold flat and stand up (as as if they were a pushchair) and those that are able to open up to reveal more umbrella-like folding that has an operated break. In general, the more wheels a buggy has the more able it will be to handle over rough terrain. This is especially true if the wheels are bigger than the average size. You will have more stability and it is less likely that you will have to flip or tip your child.
The iCandy Wave is a popular option. It can be used in conjunction with an infant car-seat as early as birth, and later converted into a double buggy side-byside when your child is older. It's a light-feeling option, which makes it easy to push and is packed with extra features like raincover and a bumper bar.
Another option is the phil&teds sport that is a future-proof model because it's a fantastic single buggy from day dot and can be adapted to accommodate 2 (or even 3!) All of this is contained in its small footprint. It is an innovative 3-wheel design that includes an sling seat that provides greater maneuverability, stability and the ability to pop the kerb.
If you're looking to jog with your children this is the ideal double buggie for jogging because it has a lockable swivel front wheel that will help you remain in control when you're on off-road or hilly tracks. Other models, like the UPPAbaby Vista 2 offer plenty of space, and the ability to carry twins or even a toddler and a baby (it takes their 'PiggyBack' board enable this). It's the smallest side-by-side double available and comes with some impressive technology, including game-changing LED visibility lights that change on each side of the frame to improve safety in low light conditions.
The Joie Evalite Duo, a stroller that is light enough to accommodate twins from birth and is world-facing with a lie-flat position, is something different. Its clever frame expands widthways to accommodate a second seat but it still only weighs in at around 11kg so it's easy to move and lift. It can be used with an infant car seat, a carrycot or both. This lets you have the best of both worlds.
